Revivals and Churchianity
My Dad told me revivals were when the preacher wanted to book the Holy Spirit. I grew up going to Church every Sunday morning, night and Wednesdays because it was expected of a good Christian to do that.
We were in church so much that the real “sinful” world was ignored. We were living like a bunch of cultists. We would make fun of the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and others but we were the same.
Y’all do door-to-door visitations too?
Well, some of the Baptists did. They call it visitation. I did it once and it makes me sympathize with the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses. All those doors slamming in your face-uh on second thought no sympathy.
